Apollo Bay Museum

The Apollo Bay museum - housed in the buildings from which the undersea cable connected Tasmania with the mainland - is operated by the Apollo Bay and District Historical Society. It includes displays of relics from some of the shipwrecks and ships that were the primary means of access before the Great Ocean Road and of the life of this once isolated community.

The museum is open at Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays and school holidays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and at other times by prior arrangement for group visits.
