Australiana Society

The Australiana Society Inc. was founded in 1978 to encourage interest, collecting, preservation and research of Australiana. It is an incorporated association of collectors, dealers, auctioneers and researchers devoted to the appreciation, conservation and preservation of Australiana: art, decorative arts, antiques, items of historic interest, collectables, buildings and sites, and portable heritage made in, or relating to, Australia. Anyone can join.

The Australiana Society organises talks, exhibition viewings, excursions, seminars and other events. Membership is at its highest level ever, nearly 500, and includes all of Australia’s major federal and state public libraries, museums and art galleries and well as most serious private collectors.
