This year's Community Heritage Grants, awarded by the Australian Government, have been announced with over $415,000 awarded to 77 groups.
The grants are of up to $15,000 and are made to to community organisations such as libraries, archives, museums, indigenous and multicultural groups, genealogical and historical societies to assist with the preservation and improved access to locally owned but nationally significant collections.
The CHG program is managed by the National Library of Australia. It is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Communications and the Arts, the National Archives of Australia, the National Film and Sound Archive, the National Museum of Australia and the National Library of Australia.
