Ayers House is one of the last remaining grand 19th century homes that once lined North Terrace. It is named after nineteenth century state premier Sir Henry Ayers, who moved here in 1855. The museum provides an insight into Victorian domestic life. Displays include historic artwork, furniture, costumes and silver. Guided tours available. |
