| Information: | The Society aims to conserve and preserve the history of Rutherglen and district. The Society also has the role of restoring the old Common School (circa 1873) which is now the Society's Museum. Founded 1964. |
| Publications: | The Society has pages of historic information (not published) on various buildings, properties, events and people of Rutherglen and district. |
| Events: | Monthly meetings are held at 1.30pm on the first Monday of the month at the Common School Museum; an annual luncheon meeting is held in July; an annual BBQ is hled on the 1st Monday in December at 6pm; and a cemetery walk is held every third year in October. |
