|Goondiwindi & District Family History Society
||The Society (founded October 1991) aims to promote and encourage the study of genealogy and to collect and preserve records of local history for the benefit of the community. The Society's Family History Room in the Goondiwindi Regional Library (Bowen Street Goondiwindi) is open from 9am to 3pm every Wednesday and 9am to 12pm every 2nd Saturday of the month or by arrangement.
||The "Goondiwindi Gazette" is published three times a year. The Society has also published four books containing cemetery records, "Isolated Graves of the Waggamba Shire" which records some 150 people buried on properties within the shire, "When the Iron Horse Came" celebrating the centenary of the arrival of the first train to Goondiwindi and "Goondiwindi A Pictorial History" The Society has erected a memorial wall in the Cemetery for the 700 people buried in the pioneer section without markers.
